Frequently Asked Questions
To get started, register for our waitlist. Once there is an opening for an event near you, you’ll be notified via an email which will contain a link to register for that event. We’ll guide you from there, but here’s an idea of how things will go down:
You’ll receive a few reminder texts about the event, one just 2 hours prior to its start time. Once you arrive at the venue – at least 15 minutes before the start time – you’ll respond to that text and be prompted to share a bit about your outfit so that you and your dates can identify one another.
At the start of the event, you’ll receive a text letting you know how to find your first date. You’ll have 2 minutes to locate one another and then the timer starts! The two of you will spend the next 8 minutes together, just enough time to make a connection, share a laugh, and leave a lasting impression.
When your time is up, you’ll both be notified with another text message and you'll have 2 minutes to respond with a "Y" if you'd like to see the person you just met again or "N" if you'd rather not. And don’t worry – whatever you decide, they won’t be notified quite yet!
Then, the dates roll on and the steps repeat themselves! Once you’ve made it through all your dates, we'll send a final text message to notify you that the event has ended.
At 5:30 PM the next day, you’ll have an email in your inbox with your matches and their contact information inside! Your information will not be sent to anyone who you did not match with. We’ll let you love birds take it from there!
Each event costs a flat $25 per ticket. As we experiment for best results for you fine people, prices are subject to change. Now, you could be that person who shows up to a brewery or coffee shop and doesn’t order anything, but wouldn't it be lovely to show your appreciation to the hosting venue by giving them some well-earned business? You don’t have to go crazy by buying a round for the whole place, but we ask that each participant purchase at least one item upon arrival.
Attendance is crucial to the flow of June Dating events, and we know you don’t want to be the reason a handful of folks are left twiddling their thumbs between dates! To make sure all attendees have the best June Dating experience possible, we have the following Cancellation and No Show Policies.
Cancellation Policy: We understand that life can get busy. If you need to cancel, please do so with as much advanced notice as possible. As long as you are able to let us know 72 hours before the event, you’ll get a full refund. If you cancel within the 72-hour window there will be a $30 cancellation fee.
No Show Policy: If you don't show up for an event you've registered for, you'll be charged $50.
For more details on our Cancellation and No Show Policies, see our Community Guidelines.
Each interaction lasts a breezy 8 minutes – the perfect amount of time to see if there's a spark and leave them wanting more.
2 hours is a safe amount of time to set aside. That said, if you have any feedback around the duration of the event, please let us know in our post-event survey!
You have 2 minutes between each date to let it all sink in. However, in that time, you should let us know whether you liked your previous date before locating your next date.
Absolutely! There's a 10 minute break half way through the event so you can tend to the essentials. We also ask that you arrive 15 minutes early and check-in by responding to our pre-event text message. That way you'll have plenty of time to buy a drink, use the restroom, and get comfortable!
Yes. To ensure your dating experience runs as smoothly as possible, we kindly ask that you keep your phone on and notifications enabled. Texting is the secret sauce that keeps everything in sync and ensures you don't miss a beat! Of course, we'll keep it to a minimum so you can focus on what truly matters – making meaningful connections!
This is probably a better question for your trusted wardrobe advisors, but our opinion is that you should wear whatever makes you feel confident, comfortable, and happy. Our events tend to be held at casual venues, so we recommend dressing for the setting. That being said, you do you!
After each 8 minute date, we'll send you a text asking how it went. If you'd like to see them again, simply reply with a single character response, "Y"; if you'd prefer to pass, reply with an "N". It's that easy!
At 5:30 PM the day after the event, you’ll have an email in your inbox with your matches and their contact information inside! Your information will not be sent to anyone who you did not match with. We’ll let you love birds take it from there!
Absolutely! As long as you’ve given us your thoughts on your last date, you’re good to get started.
Go ahead and text us "SOLO" and follow the prompts – we'll try to connect you with your date if they're still there. Worst case scenario, the round will turn into a break round.
This rarely happens but, if it does, you'll be notified at the start of the event that one of your rounds will be a break round!
That said, we have multiple processes in place to make sure that this rarely happens and it’s the key reason why our Cancellation and No Show policies are so strict (you can read more about them in our Community Guidelines).
It's downtime where you can order another drink, call your mom for moral support, or tell your BFF about that cutie you just met!
First and foremost: be a kind, respectful person.
If the venue serves alcohol, moderate your intake as a sign of respect to other daters, the venue staff and, of course, yourself.
Someone right off the bat doesn’t fit your romantic vibe? Don't sweat it! Indulge in a nice conversation anyway. They may not be your soulmate, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t worthy of common courtesy. And who knows, maybe you’ll even make a friend!
Really hitting it off with someone? Yay! You’ll have the chance tomorrow to reach out to them should they feel the same way, so please do not ask for another participant’s contact information at the event. We’ll handle that!
Should any participant make you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please inform us immediately by texting us "HELP" during an event or reaching out to us by email after an event so we can take appropriate action. Each participant is required to read our Community Guidelines and we strongly suggest reading over our Safety Tips as well. Seriously, they're not that long! :)
We’ve got it covered! We work behind the scenes to guarantee our daters don't have any awkward second run-ins, so no worries here!
Well, as your Mama may have once told you, there are plenty of fish in the sea! And you'll have a chance to meet a whole new group of charming, lovely people at your next June event. So get back on that horse!
Our event age ranges are 'soft' by up to 2 years on either end of the range, so if you're 26 and would like to register for events in the 28-35 age range, go right on ahead!
Let us know! We’re all about inclusion and are actively working behind the scenes to develop new kinds of events for our platform! Help us help you by getting in touch!
Yes! We are in close contact with all venues and obtain permission to use their space prior to events (because consent is sexy). And like any healthy relationship, feedback flows both ways between us and our venues. If you have any thoughts on the venue for an event you attended, or would like us to partner with your favorite venue, please let us know in our post-event survey. We'll very much appreciate it!
We dislike spam as much as anyone. When you sign up for a June event, we will ask for your permission to send you text messages leading up to and throughout the event. However, once the event is over and you have your matches the next day, you'll no longer receive messages from us. But don't worry, we'll still let you know about any future events that fit your interest by email. You can unsubscribe any time, just send us a quick email with your name, phone number, and email address and we'll get you sorted!
We’d love to bring our events to you! If we’re not yet operating near you, please sign up for our waitlist. Once we know there is enough interest in a certain area to make an event successful, we’ll make it happen – so tell all your friends and shout it from the rooftops!
